Harden Machinery Ltd. has successfully completed a stringent review by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, earning renewal of its 2025 National "Specialized, Sophisticated, Special, and Innovative SMEs" (Little Giant) designation.

This accolade follows the company's initial recognition in 2022, highlighting Harden's sustained leadership in solid waste resource recovery and its commitment to cutting-edge processing technologies.

The "Little Giant" program honors small and medium-sized enterprises that excel in niche markets with proprietary core technologies, dominant market positions, and superior operational performance. As a frontrunner in China's solid waste processing sector, Harden delivers comprehensive shredding, sorting, and resource recovery systems, backed by a strong history of successful project implementations that have garnered acclaim from government bodies and industry experts alike.

Based in Guangdong, China, Harden Machinery Ltd. focuses on the research, development, manufacturing, and system integration of solid waste processing equipment. Integrating German-engineered shredding expertise with European waste management practices, the company offers modular, high-performance solutions customized for client requirements.

Currently, Harden boasts over 100 granted patents, with additional applications under review, encompassing single-shaft, two-shaft, and four-shaft shredders; size screens (disc screens and vibrating screens); windshifters; and full RDF/SRF (refuse-derived fuel/solid recovered fuel) production systems—establishing a comprehensive intellectual property portfolio.

Among the select few Chinese firms capable of supplying turnkey RDF/SRF production lines, Harden's technologies handle challenging materials such as municipal solid waste, industrial waste, scrap tires, and medical waste.

These solutions enable ultra-fine shredding, rapid separation, and precise classification, facilitating the transition from mere waste neutralization to full resource utilization in waste-to-energy initiatives and circular economy frameworks.

Harden's evolution has been fueled by continuous technological milestones. In 2017, it launched China's inaugural mobile shredder, pioneering flexible on-site waste handling. Between 2018 and 2020, the company achieved commercialization and full-scale deployment of resource recovery systems for bulky waste, paper mill residues, and end-of-life tires.

In 2025, Harden introduced the SG3000MP single-step shredder—awarded "First-of-its-Kind" certification—and the high-throughput fine shredder SG3000RF. The SG3000MP optimizes processes by consolidating multiple units into one, excelling in cement kiln co-processing and alternative fuels production.

The SG3000RF, meanwhile, achieves output sizes of 10-50 mm with capacities up to 20 tons per hour, resolving key inefficiencies in RDF/SRF shredding.

Serving over 1,500 clients to date, Harden delivers dependable processing systems for alternative fuel generation, municipal waste recycling, and industrial residue management, cementing its status as a go-to provider in the international solid waste industry.

This latest "Little Giant" renewal affirms Harden's technical superiority and dedication to innovation, marking another key achievement in its pursuit of excellence. Moving forward, Harden will amplify R&D efforts in smart automation and system integration, broaden resource recovery deployments, and collaborate with international partners to advance solid waste equipment toward enhanced efficiency and intelligence—contributing to low-carbon development in China and worldwide.
