From an energy structure perspective, Refuse Derived Fuels (RDF)—a promising renewable energy source—have emerged as the fourth-largest energy option for industrial kilns (e.g., cement kilns), ranking only behind coal, petroleum, and natural gas.

As a high-quality and eco-friendly recycled resource, alternative fuels are processed from solid waste.

They offer combustion efficiency comparable to fossil fuels but with significantly lower carbon emissions.

This aligns with carbon reduction policies, reduces operational costs for enterprises, and delivers substantial environmental benefits.

The substitution ratio between fossil fuels and Refuse Derived Fuels (RDF) is as follows:

1.4 tons of RDF = 1 ton of coal

1.7 tons of RDF = 1 ton of petroleum coke

2 tons of RDF = 1 ton of fuel oil

Industrial Waste Processing System which has designed by Harden Machinery Ltd., adopts a modular design to convert general industrial waste into high-calorific-value alternative fuels (SRF/RDF).

These fuels effectively replace non-renewable fossil energy, enabling the transformation of waste into energy.

For more complex waste compositions, additional equipment such as sorting machines, wind shifter, and optical sorters can be integrated to enhance fuel quality.

The line features Harden’ s high-torque dual-shaft shear shredder and a dedicated single-shaft shredder for RDF production.

After secondary shredding, the output achieves a uniform particle size of 30-100 mm, with a compliance rate of up to 95%.
