Harden Machinery Partners with Huaxin Cement, Achieving Over 60% Fuel Substitution Rate for the Leading Global Cement Producer
Harden Machinery Ltd., a premier manufacturer of waste management and recycling equipment in China, is pleased to announce its successful collaboration with Chongqing Huaxin Diwei Cement Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd. This partnership has facilitated their alternative fuel benchmarking project, resulting in an impressive fuel substitution rate exceeding 60%.
Established in 1907, Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd. is recognized as the cradle of China's cement industry and a distinguished pioneer within the building materials sector. This project aims to promote carbon emissions reduction in the industry by renovating and upgrading Huaxin Diwei Cement's cement clinker production line.
As part of this initiative, Harden Machinery established an Alternative Fuel Preparation Centre, effectively implementing solid waste pre-treatment processes. This system employs a modular combination of various equipment, including two-stage fine crushing, screening, and dust removal, ensuring a daily capacity of 200 tons, while converting nine categories of solid waste into Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) and Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) with a contamination rate of less than 10%, high homogenization, and a particle size of approximately 30mm.
This innovative approach has led to annual savings of over 40,000 tonnes of coal, further underscoring the company's commitment to resource conservation and environmental protection.
Harden Machinery remains at the forefront of advancing sustainable solutions within the waste management sector, dedicated to promoting environmental goals across various industries. The successful outcomes of this collaboration highlight the significance of innovative strategies for fuel substitution and carbon emissions reduction while also demonstrating Harden's robust capabilities in technological development.
Alternative fuels derived from various solid wastes, including RDF and SRF, exhibit high calorific value and low carbon emissions, making them optimal choices for cement enterprises aiming to enhance operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.
The environmentally friendly RDF/SRF alternative fuels offer a cost-effective solution for cement enterprises, enabling them to reduce costs, decrease coal consumption, improve energy efficiency, and lower carbon emissions. Harden Machinery continues to lead the way in innovation, empowering customers to adopt sustainable practices without compromising performance or profitability.
With over a decade of experience in the solid waste treatment industry, Harden has earned significant recognition in the field of RDF alternative fuel preparation. The comprehensive design of Harden's DWS alternative fuel preparation system emphasizes the reduction of harmful contaminants in the final product and the enhancement of combustion stability for RDF fuels.
Through advanced processing techniques such as precise shredding, intelligent air classification, and robust magnetic separation, Harden effectively removes heavy materials and metallic impurities from industrial solid waste. Additionally, the company transforms light combustible materials into a more uniform and refined RDF quality, thereby minimizing thermal loss and improving adaptability to industrial kilns.
Currently, Harden has provided DWS system solutions for over 200 projects worldwide, encompassing various industries, including cement, power generation, paper manufacturing, and solid waste management, as it continues to lead the charge towards a sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
